due diligence for strategic acquirer
Assisted a large technology company with the due diligence of a wearable technology company: embedded with the acquirer’s cross-functional team, I conducted an extensive and detailed evaluation of the target’s financial forecast and business plan, hardware product COGS, supply chain setup, retail sales strategy and operations, and the executive team of the target. Following the acquisition close, I assisted with acquisition integration.
scale-up a company
I served as interim CFO/COO to a scale up in the connected home space. My extensive experience with consumer technology provided immediate strategic and tactical benefits to this hardware company. I advised the major investors and board on the business model, key metrics and operating practices that drive success. I then assisted with execution of the business plan, which included the expansion of the retail sales channel; selecting a new contract manufacturing partner to scale the business; implementing planning tools and processes. The company was approached by a strategic acquirer and I partnered with the CEO to drive the due diligence and deal negotiations, which resulted in the successful sale of the company.
helping overseas companies enter US market
I've assisted several European and Asian companies enter the US market. One example is a client for which I was the interim, US-based CFO. Working closely with the HQ staff to ensure timelines and budgets were met, I helped recruit the US leadership team, secured Bay Area offices, implemented G&A programs and overall infrastructure, assisted with go-to-market and supply chain set-up, implemented systems and processes
